NYCO was formed in Chicago in 2003 by frontman Ted Atkatz and former bass player Rob Kassinger.  The band played locally until Atkatz quit his job with the Chicago Symphony to pursue the band full time.  From 2006-2008 the band played over 200 live shows nationwide.  NYCO performed internationally at the St. Barts Music Festival in 2007. Atkatz relocated to Los Angeles in 2008 and reformed the band with local musicians.  The band made its first appearance at the South by Southwest Music Festival in 2011.  NYCO has released three full length albums: “TWO” (2005) and “REALIZE” (2008), and “FUTURE IMPERFECT" (2012).

NYCO’s music has been featured on MTV, HGTV, VH1, and in advertising campaigns for JCPenney and Volkswagen Motors.
